  • New Pilot Supply Shop - Caboolture Airshow

A new pilot supply shop is to open for business on August 31st in the "old" Sunland Aviation building

The Melbourne based Ian Pennycuick will be operating his Queensland Pilot Supplies business out of building 112, making only two specialist pilot shops on the 'field after the Hawker Pacific Pilot Shop closed it's doors a few months back along with the maintenance hangar

The shop is to offer to pilots a full range of aviation based supplies which can be ordered via the 'net at www.theairlineshop.com.au

The other remaining pilot supply shop is the longstanding Airsupport business operating out of building 25

Caboolture held it's bi-annual Air Show on Sunday 22nd with the crowd being well down compared to previous years

One of the highlights was the appearance for first time of the Grumman Avenger warbird at an Australian airshow

This show stealing Avenger over-nighted here at Archerfield after the airshow and then departed (in the rain) for Toowoomba Monday morning

The ex Kiwi TBM Grumman Avenger is currently based at Aerotec in Toowoomba and is associated with Randal McFarlane from the Archerfield based JetCraft company
