It is with a touch of sadness that this news desk has been advised of another well known Archerfield aviator departing on his last flight of the never ending journey to the stars

Noel Bellamy of Archerfield Flight Centre fame - arrived at the 'field back in the 1970's and after working for a few years as C.F.I. for the then George Adam's owned Woodfall Aviation, started his own flying school and charter business on the top floor of the main terminal building

Later Noel constructed his own building to run the expanding flying school - the end result is that this same building is now owned and operated by the airport operator and currently houses the management and staff of the Archerfield Airport Corporation

Like so many people from that era of the 60's and 70's Noel's departure will be a great loss to all who knew him and enjoyed his company
