One of the smaller independent flying schools on the airfield has decided that it is about time to "hand in the gloves" and will be closing its doors at the end of this year

Reg's Flying School has been operating out of Archerfield for the past 10 years and and the owner has finally called it a day and will move on to greener pastures

As the year ends, those who are left on the airfield turn their minds to the coming festive season and the associated party to celebrate the survival of another year and to gear up for the start of the "new millennium"

And this news page has arranged - in conjunction with another operator - to have an Aussie B-B-Q (sausage sizzle) with drinks on Friday December 10 at 1600hrs

Party Time for those flying schools joining in the festivities on the airfield are:-

• Arena Aviation (Air Training Centre) on Friday, November 26 at 1630hrs
  
• R.Q.A.C with the Roulettes on Sunday November 28th
  
• Sunland Aviation (Southern Skies) on Saturday, December 11th at 1800hrs
