The aircraft took off a short time later after adding some "go juice" and utilizing the road as a makeshift runway

The aircraft and sole occupant came to rest on Eskdale Station about 60nm west of Archerfield

The Robbo was carrying out "forced landings" practice on the western side of the airfield that in the end turned out to be for real!
 
There were no reported serious injuries

The '4 was noticeably busier on the airfield during the period with refuelling and freight loading on turn-a-rounds for the stranded flood victims
