The Speed of Sound in OZ Terminal Airspace
ATC Instructions Approaching Maximum Terminal Velocity

Over recent years there has been a speed increase in just about all things associated with humans - PC's are a classic example

During the comings'n goings of peak hour traffic in the Brisbane terminal area both pilots and air traffic controllers transmit to each other in a rather rapid and almost non-stop radio communication frenzy that lasts for well over an hour and requires all persons connected with the service to be in a high state of situation awareness

There is a noticeable speech slow-down for the foreign manned aircraft that appear on the scene during this busy period looking for a landing clearance!

The News Desk VHF recorded the following comment from an unidentified pilot to an air traffic controller at Brisbane after the morning commuter aircraft rush hour - quote :- ¹
