On automation:- the new Cirrus arrived at Archerfield on Sunday afternoon (refer June '00 Week Four) after an uneventful flight from the USA - the new "automation" part of this machine is the single power control lever that replaces both the throttle and propeller pitch levers that are necessary for just about all of the other piston powered aircraft fitted with variable pitch propellers

The images on this page depict the SR20 taxing after arrival in front of the large welcoming crowd outside the Sunland Aviation hangar and then shutting down

It was a similar situation with the SR20 arrival - including the celebratory champagne - with 30+ eager aviators keen to see the very latest in touring light aircraft
