Week One
 The Aircraft Registration Fiasco Continues
Aircraft Owners Up-in-Arms

As mentioned in Week One of last month CASA introduced a change in the way aircraft are to be registered

Boyd Munro champion of the 'Week-end Warrior' private pilot and operator of the www.airsafety.com.au web page sent a message to a number of selected aircraft owners on Saturday 28 October asking for their comments on the CASR 47 regulation

The next day Sunday 29th Boyd replied that "The response has already been heavy and it is unanimous - No one has been in favour of the changes and no one has even been neutral - Everyone who has responded is opposed"

A national report by the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) shows almost 300 people drowned in Australia during the past year (1999/2000)

Queensland recorded the highest number with 87 deaths followed by New South Wales with 69 - Victoria 55 and Western Australia with 46
