 AF Warbird Party 21/10/00
Flying Museum Hangar Opening

A number of Warbirds are expected to arrive on the 'field next Saturday to join in and be part of the opening celebrations of the new Warbird Museum Hangar situated near the western entry of Archerfield
 
During the past week the Warbirds have also been busy strutting their stuff for the Indy Car Race at the Gold Coast

CASA Roasted
* An all-party Senate Committee has criticised the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for failing to impose sanctions against an airline found to have hidden details of aircraft defects
 
The committee found the company kept two sets of log books and used one of them to hide aircraft defects from CASA

The falsifying of records is not uncommon in the industry - it has been bought about over the years by an obtuse bureaucracy combined with the lack of in-depth specialised civil aviation knowledge from those allowed to be in a position of power
