This may well be the reason CASA are looking at the ultra-light aircraft industry to come under the umbrella of it's very regimented GA sector!

Singapore 747 Depressurised

 November 6: 
A Singapore Airlines B747 aircraft that had departed Sydney 40 minutes earlier with 250 passengers on board was forced to return after experiencing cabin pressure problems

The captain initiated an emergency descent to below 10,000 feet from the normal cruising level of 36,000ft after oxygen masks began to pop

Click to enlarge The USA's AOPA annual convention gets under way November 7 with 80 aircraft parading down the main street of Ft. Lauderdale in Florida

Click to enlarge, unknown type! The parade starts at 1000hrs from the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport and expected to last about 80 minutes after following highways and streets wide enough to accommodate all aircraft safely

Total length of the parade route is 3.5 miles with Hurricane Michelle hanging about not far away

QLD Uni HyShot Under Investigation

November 5: 
The QLD University scramjet experiment that was carried out last week is now under investigation by the Federal Industry Minister Nick Minchin who wants to know the reason for the failure

HyShot Rocket The investigation will examine why the rocket veered off course during the initial phase of the experiment

The backup rocket launch has been postponed pending the outcome of the investigation
