Well known local pilot - 60-year-old Bill Finlen - departed Archerfield to-day on his solo around the world flight in his almost vintage 1970's single engine Beech V35B vee tail Bonanza

Bill's first 11.5 hr leg took him direct to Broome in WA - more details HERE

Vent Leak Delays Shuttle

 April 4 
Space Shuttle Atlantis, ready for lift-off at Launch Pad 39B on mission STS-110, was delayed by a leak in a ground support liquid hydrogen vent line on the south side of the Mobile Launcher Platform that caused a scrub of the launch around 0927 hrs

The countdown now enters a 72-hour turnaround cycle and an engineering team is assessing the situation to determine the next launch opportunity; possibly Monday
