AF Maintenance Shop Reborn

 February 7
Sunland Aviation - now operating from Building 15 and under the ownership of Steve and Elizabeth Maltby - is in the process of setting up an aircraft maintenance workshop

Back in the '80's Hangar 15 was a thriving workshop employing 6 staff and servicing over 30 Archerfield based private aircraft

Then in the late '80's, Archerfield was sold to a Government backed corporation (FAC) and most of the privately owned aircraft serviced by hangar 15 left the airfield due to excessive charges (on aircraft) imposed by the new regime that eventually forced the workshop to close
