           | CASA Grounds Flight School
 |

           |  March 9
The ex-Archerfield and now Maroochydore based AAQ flying school has been grounded by CASA for minor
            breaches of operation
Media reports indicate that the authority pulled Aviation Academy of Queensland's AOC for failing in "proper record-keeping in pilot's logbooks and other training
            records"

Reports also have AAQ incorrectly based at Archerfield, however the flying school has
left the airfield - refer HERE for details back in February

           |  March 13 Security staff at Melbourne's Essendon airport saw someone trying to start
a 10-seater aircraft early on Sunday and challenged him

The would-be thief aborted the start and absconded before the police arrived

News media also reported Essendon airport as "housing about 100 businesses which
            provide more than 1,000 jobs"

Now that sounds very similar to how Archerfield was about 30 years ago!

The aircraft - with a family of two adults and two children on board - appeared to be on world holiday flight from the USA

The pilot was the only person to receive any sort of serious injury with the rest of the family escaping from the forced landing - 18km south of Cairns airport - with only
            minor injuries
