 November 7  
A Fokker-50 aircraft with 19 passengers and 3 crew on board crashed 5 klm from Luxembourg's Grand Duchy international airport

The aircraft - en-route from Berlin - crashed on approach in thick fog; latest reports have only 2 persons - including the pilot - surviving

OZ Alpines' Claim Ultralight

 November 4  
An ultralight aircraft en-route to Beechworth after departing Porepunkah airfield near Bright in Victoria's alpine region hit a hill on the Gapstead Winery near Myrtleford

  "Police say the pilot - who has not been named - had 15 years flying experience and his aircraft was relatively new"

The 51-year-old pilot and 72-year-old passenger both received fatal injuries

The Australian Ultralight Federation is to carry out an investigation into the crash

Training Claims 2 MiG-29's

 November 7  
Two MiG-29's from the Slovakian Air Force have collided mid-air near the village of Spisske, Tomasovce

  "...an inquiry has been launched into the cause of the accident which should be known after the black box flight recorders are found by the rescue team"

Both pilots ejected over an uninhabited area - the military recovered only one pilot uninjured with the other listed as missing

Military Training Claims Another

 November 5  
A USA Naval pilot is reported as missing in the Adriatic Sea off Italy after the F/A-18 Hornet he was flying hit the sea during routine training

  "...the jet was operating from the aircraft carrier USS George Washington"

The accident occurred about 97 miles north of Bari off the Italian east coast

The $7500 Pillow "Bomb"

 November 7  
A farmer from Victoria pleaded guilty in the Brisbane Magistrates Court to a charge of making a threat on a Qantas Airlink aircraft at Brisbane's Eagle Farm airport

  "...The court was told the plane was taxi-ing down the runway when a cabin crew attendant noticed Grinter was holding something in his lap, contrary to airline safety regulations" -  

  Fined $7500.00 

When asked by cabin crew what he was holding on his lap he replied "It's a bomb"
