OZ Air Controllers Stirred-up

OZ air traffic controllers are stirred-up over what they perceive as reduced safety for large passenger jet aircraft in the upcoming airspace reforms to be implemented by CASA in November 2003

Private light aircraft operating under visual flight rules in OZ do not have the same safety cover extended to them as the commercial passenger aircraft




Snoopy's "Dreamtime in Australia" - first published in 1996 - covers concerns of private pilots and aircraft owners at that time and some issues mentioned then still need to be resolved

HARS Catalina Arrives in Darwin

The recently acquired (x Portugal) Catalina of the Wollongong based Historical Aircraft Restoration Society arrived in Darwin after dark to an enthusiastic crowd made up of members, media and those with memories of the war years more than 60 years ago




Darwin was a significant base for these waterborne aircraft during that period with the crews serving on them carrying out many outstanding war missions
