A PA-32/300 Cherokee 6 with a family of 4 on board, including the family dog, landed short of the runway at Parafield airport in South OZ
 
The pilot's wife sustained minor injuries in the forced landing - the 6 seat Piper received extensive structural damage

Seven lives were lost last week-end at the annual kite flying festival in Lahore Pakistan
 
1) An 18-month old baby, whose throat was cut by the string trailing from a stray kite
2) Three who died when the wires they used to guide their kites touched powerlines
3) Two who fell from roofs while trying to catch stray kites
4) A 12-year old boy who was hit by a car while trying to catch a stray kite

 
Aero-News noted that more than 20 people have died in Pakistani kite-flying accidents since the last spring festival
