Internet forums indicate the passenger jet was '2 seconds away from impact' into a mountain

A home-made explosive device was found by baggage handlers on an aircraft at Sydney airport consisting of an inner toilet roll party sparkler and a box of matches

it appeared the low cost carrier Virgin may had been targeted by a neurotic but further investigations revealed the package had fallen out of baggage belonging to a young boy

A light aircraft (type not mentioned) with 2 POB travelling from Longreach to Walgett had an undercarriage gear failure (electrical) and finished up diverting to Dubbo airport where it landed successfully around 0930 hrs

"The landing caused 'moderate' damage to the plane but its occupants were uninjured"

A Lear 45 business jet experienced a similar problem at Parafield Airport a few days ago

Two pilots and a passenger were attacked by an Algerian male wielding an axe while on a small domestic flight in Norway

The Kato Air plane was flying from Narvik to Bodoe with 7 passengers on board 2 of which helped overpower the attacker until after the flight had landed

The local hospital treated 3 persons for the injuries sustained

A replica Ford Tri-Motor (1986 Bushmaster) at the Fullerton Municipal Airport near Disneyland in the USA was on a post-maintenance test flight in preparation for an exhibition of vintage and experimental planes when it crashed into a car park shortly after take-off and hit a car with 2 women inside

"The women suffered minor injuries caused when their air bags inflated' and the 2 on board the 'Bushmaster' survived one with third-degree burns to his legs and hands ..the other 'bruised'"
