A Cessna C150 Aerobat based at Victoria's Coldstream airfield has impacted the ground fatality injuring the pilot - the only person on board
 
The 2 seat training aircraft crashed into the paddock near the Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road at Badger Creek east of Melbourne

 
Indications from media reports suggest the pilot may have been practising emergency landing procedures when the machine stalled and spun into the ground
 
"One of the wings had been torn off and there was quite a lot of debris"

Over recent years the News Desk has come to the conclusion that pilots who fly for fun and pleasure will finish up "flying" in simulators rather than the real thing - after all it's a lot less of a hassle and much easier on the wallet than having to pay for high priced fuel and aircraft maintenance


In the Netherlands a PC buff has linked up 9 PC's to 13 monitors and runs MS Flight Simulator utilising the Windows XP operating system on the 3 front pc's and Windows 98SE on the remainder
