Boeing B-737 Down near Athens Greece - MD-82 in Venezuela

A Cyprus-based Helios Airways Boeing 737-300 has impacted a hill near Athens with the loss all 121 persons on board

Media reports suggest the reason was a "slow decompression" that incapacitated both pilots when cruising around 34,000'

There may have been attempts by cabin crew to fly the passenger jet - 2 Greek fighters intercepted the aircraft and noticed two persons moving about in the cockpit other than the incapacitated flight crew

"We can confirm that the aircraft that experienced the decompression problem (before) was the aircraft that was involved in this accident" - Helios statement
