Marketing Specialist for Archerfield Flying Training Operators
Promotional Management attracted by Decline in Flying

February 16
Latest monitoring by the News Desk from the main terminal at Archerfield has found a "new kid on the block" - an Archerfield Promotional Manager

The office situated on the ground floor of the main terminal previously occupied by the Noel Notley Aircraft Sales personal in the 90's has been taken over by "flyarcherfield.com.au" - a promotional business operated by an x-Bankstown operator

Indications point to the operators on Archerfield supporting the venture financially - extensive backing required for any promotional business and the associated costs will require ongoing support - an issue that remains unclear to the News Desk

Obtaining financial support from Archerfield's diverse and struggling operators will be a BIG challenge - previous similar objectives on fundraising have failed

A Tasmanian based web page has highlighted the problems associated with flying VFR in OZ and the strong possibility that any request to air traffic controllers for a "clearance" may be rejected which could lead to an extremely dangerous situation developing for the (inexperienced) light aircraft pilot

The attitude "keep away from my airspace - go crash somewhere else" is well entrenched in the OZ controllers psychological make-up for VFR flight that may have encountered a weather problem and would like some guidance without having to declare an emergency (read this as licence suspension)

Civil Air's former union boss will be at a meeting in Melbourne next month and those wanting to find out more from the Tassie antagonist can click HERE (Pop-up)
