The newly incorporated Archerfield Airport Chamber of Commerce invites all persons (pilots, business owners or just friends of Archerfield Airport who have a strong desire to keep the airport as an aviation facility) to find out the facts from the hype and practical ways they can help arrest the imbalance of power and control that has occurred against aviation users of Archerfield Airport over the past few years

A Bell Jet-Ranger helicopter under charter to the Parkes Shire Council in central west of NSW struck power lines and crashed bursting into flames killing all three on board
 
The road between Parkes and Orange was closed to traffic as investigators descended on the scene to establish what went wrong
