 Pilot's Baby Daughter and Mount Vernon Station Hand Lost

A Cessna 172 from Mount Vernon Cattle Station in West OZ impacted rocky terrain two kilometres short of the station's airstrip fatally injuring two of the five persons on board the high-wing 4-seater

The crash killed the 18-month-old daughter of the pilot and a 26-year-old station hand

 
The 40-year-old private pilot along with his 3 year-old daughter and 59-year-old mother survived after the engine failed to respond approaching the homestead strip after a local station property flight

The remote Mount Vernon Station is around 1,000 kilometres north/north east of Perth
