Tools-of-Trade Work Van Denied Access to the Job on Archerfield Airport

June 1  2007
Brisbane's local news media has published a report about a LAME who has been denied access to the tarmac area of Archerfield unless a "commercial licence fee" costing $2500 (plus GST) is obtained from the airport operator

The airport operator claims that a "licence" is required to operate a business on the airport for those persons who do not lease a hangar or rent ground at the airport

News Desk Comment
The nature of Steve's work in most cases requires his tools-of-trade to be taken to the aircraft rather than have the aircraft come to Steve where a hangar may be needed

From the early '90's up to recent times Steve has had no problems obtaining airside access for his work van to carry out his highly specialised "licensed" aircraft electrical work
