QLD Police advise that two persons have died after the microlight aircraft they were in apparently stalled and ended up crashing into a creek at Oak Valley near Townsville

 
Witness reports have the aircraft in a turn when the engine was heard to increase in revolutions and then cut-out - it then spiralled into the creek ending up semi-submerged

Media reports have a light aircraft - type unknown - crashing in inaccessible bushland of the Blue Mountains in NSW

Later reports had the aircraft as a Jabiru with a forced landing into a cleared area after an apparent engine failure

 
The two persons on board were rescued by emergency services personnel - there were no reported injuries
