Archerfield's Hangar 6 Tenants - Jetline Engineering - Move to Brisbane International

October 3  2007
Flight Line Aviation Pty Ltd - operating out of Hangar 6 at Archerfield Airport over the past 6 years - started moving out today to reposition their "heavy maintenance" base at Brisbane's main international airport where a "line maintenance" operation was already established to service their Fairchild Metroliner freighters

History of Hangar 6
Well known "Hangar 6" has had various tenants - Air Express were there for a number of years up to the late '70's - Hawker Pacific took over the building after Air Express vacated transferring their entire operations from Hangar 110 located on the southern side of the main terminal

Hawkers eventually gave up doing 'heavy maintenance' from this Hangar in 1999 keeping their piston engine overhaul shop operational at the back of the hangar

Peter Young started Flight Line Aviation on the southern side of the airport around 20 years ago transferring his operation to the larger building a few years back as his maintenance business expanded to include turboprops
