Light Aircraft Take-Off Crash Landing at Bankstown Airport

OZ media are notoriously inaccurate when reporting light aircraft incidents - one reported that a light aircraft has crashed on landing after an undercarriage malfunction - another report has what appears to be the same aircraft overshooting the runway and crashing after aborting the take-off - check out the following transcripts (place mouse over and click)

British Airways Boeing 777 Lands Short at Heathrow Airport - All Survive

All 136 passengers and 16 crew on board a B777 escaped without major injury after the passenger jet landed short wiping off the undercarriage

The machine came to a stop within a few 100 meters disrupting other traffic at the world's 3rd busiest airport

Only 221 out of 1,300 flights were cancelled on the day

 
Media reports have the pilot saying that "the electronics had failed" and that "he had lost all power" - a passenger reported "I could hear the undercarriage come out and the next moment the plane just dropped"

The approach airspeed may have been a little too low

New Tenants for Hangar 3 at Archerfield - Ground Time

The main terminal based AV8 Brisbane flying school at Archerfield continues to expand taking over the previously occupied (by JetCraft's MacFlight) Hangar 3 for student pilot training in 'Ground-Time' simulators
