Two Injured in Ultralight Accident near Newcastle in NSW

A two-seat ultralight - type not identified - departing from a private paddock at Glen Oak in the Hunter Valley apparently struck a fence with one of its wheels causing the machine to impact the ground

 
The 39-year-old male pilot from Brandy Hill was thrown from the aircraft and suffered a fractured shoulder ...while a 48-year-old woman from Glen Oak suffered severe facial injuries

CASA Grounds Cairns Based Aero-Tropics for 5-Days over Safety Issues

Aero-Tropics QLD's FNQ main airline operator in Cape York with a fleet of 18 aircraft ranging from the single-engine turbo-prop Cessna Grand Caravan to a twin-engine Beech Super King Air has been grounded by OZ aviation authorities until a number of perceived "deficiencies" are rectified

 
The privately owned (by the Lippmann family) scheduled airline company also operate several piston-powered Britten Norman Islanders within its current aircraft fleet that also has 55 employees and serves 14 ports of call "several times daily" on its normal scheduled service

Royal Queensland Aero Club Relocation on Archerfield Airport

Recent research carried out by the News Desk at Archerfield has established that the RQAC double-story building is to be occupied by the expanding Airline Academy of Australia

 

The AAA focus is simulator based multi-crew pilot training which is backed up by Boeing and CASA

Aero Club members are to be accommodated in the x-Arena Flying School building situated next-door to the main terminal building

The new school has apparently been flooded with applicants who just want to be trained as an airline co-pilot
