Charted Helicopter Crash - Pilot & 4 Passengers Seriously Injured

A Bankstown based Jetranger helicopter has crashed in semi-rural Arcadia near Hornsby a few K's to the west of Sydney injuring all 5 persons on board - 4 are in a serious condition with broken bones and internal injuries and have been transported to local hospitals

 

 
The Jetranger's rotor apparently struck powerlines and a tree departing the private property - Media reports "All patients are male and between 30-40 years"

Aussie Stuck Overseas - Singaporean Authorities Deny Return Application

A 59-year-old former Ansett pilot now operating an adventure travel operation from Broome in Western Australia has been charged by Singapore authorities with flying an aircraft without a certificate of air-worthiness and has had his application to return to Australia denied

 
Rhys Thomas - along with his co-owner of Horizontal Falls Travel Adventure Mary Cummins - were intercepted by Singaporean F-16 fighter jets about 6 weeks ago flying to the island in their Cessna 208 Caravan float plane without having filed a flight plan
