Nanchang Warbird Crash Claims Life of Pilot during Aerobatics Practice

The pilot of a 2-seat Chinese Nanchang ex-military aircraft was killed carrying out an aerobatics when his machine crashed onto a beach at the seaside town of Moruya on NSW's south coast

 
The OZ Civil Aircraft Register has 41 of the single-engine radial CJ-6 machines on their books - most are operated privately with a small number used for adventure joyflights

Victorian Ultralight Prang Claims Life of Passenger - Pilot Injured


MAY 29  2008
An ultralight - type not identified - has claimed the life of a passenger and seriously injured the pilot after the machine crashed into a tree at Kinglake West around 80 kilometres north of Melbourne

 
Media reports indicate the 2-seat ultralight impacted the ground after hitting a tree near the end of the runway around 500 metres from the departure point and only 30 metres up in the air
