 Two Killed in Thorp T-18 Home-Built at WA Serpentine Airstrip 


The 2-seat single-engine aircraft crashed near the privately-owned Serpentine Airstrip in Hopeland about 30km south of Perth

Media reports have the South OZ registered home-built carrying out an aerobatic manoeuver when it hit the ground

 Two Killed in Vans RV-7 Home-Built at NT Station Property 


The 2-seat single-engine aircraft crashed near the airstrip on Jindare station about 40km south-west of Pine Creek and south of Darwin at around 1330hrs yesterday

It appears the 2 POB were well known at the Station - "We have some idea who they are but we do need to go through the formal identification"

 Royal Victorian Aero Club Aircraft in Emergency Landing 


A RVAC Piper Cherokee on a training flight with an instructor and student pilot on board was forced to crash-land into a quarry after the engine failed when returning from a training flight from French Island in Westernport Bay south-east of Melbourne to Moorabbin airport

The 4-seat PA-28 sustained moderate damage to the undercarriage and propeller - the 23-year-old student and 45-year-old instructor - both of eastern European culture were unhurt
