 Brisbane Jet Returns & Lands after Threats from Drunk Passenger 


A 54-year-old man has been arrested and charged with making threats to aviation security and offensive and disorderly behaviour after the Virgin Blue aircraft he was on was forced to return to Brisbane after having departed only a short time earlier

"Passengers on board the Virgin Blue flight 449 bound for Darwin last Thursday evening were put up in hotels for the night and then flown to Darwin the next day"

Apparently cabin crew became traumatised

 Tiger Moth Damaged - Pilot Injured at Antique Aeroplane Air-Rally 


A 64-year-old male pilot from Loxton in South OZ lost control of his vintage Tiger Moth approaching the Goolwa airfield and ended up crashing into a paddock about 100 metres short of the airstrip threshold

The DH-82A was participating in an air-rally organised by the Antique Aeroplane Association of South Australia - strong winds blowing at the time were apparently the reason for the loss of control

 Two Queensland Tourists Injured in West OZ Microlight Prang 


A 61-year-old owner/pilot of a 2-seat microlight sustained a fractured vertebrae and neck injuries after his weight-shift machine clipped trees and crashed shortly after take-off from the Kununurra showgrounds in West OZ

Police understand that the pilot had sought permission from showground officials to operate from the area - his 64-year-old passenger had minor injuries
