The NT Police Department have reported on an aircraft accident at the remote aboriginal community of Kintore or Walungurru located around 530 km west of Alice Springs

The aircraft - believed by the News Desk to be a Cessna 210 - apparently skidded 300 metres along the Kintore airstrip before coming to a stop - the pilot was uninjured

Top female aerobatic pilot 40-year-old Vicki Cruse from Santa Paula in California was pronounced dead at the scene after the Edge 540 she was in impacted the ground during an aerobatic routine in England

Vicki was the president of the International Aerobatic Club and was competing in the World Aerobatic Championships being staged at the home of British motor racing at Silverstone - the first ever air show to be held at Buckinghamshire's famous motor racing circuit
