 Piper PA-31 Chieftain Emergency Landing into Darwin Harbour 


A twin-engine Piper Chieftain owned and operated by CSG Services in Darwin experienced an engine problem shortly after take-off for Maningrida forcing an emergency landing in the shallow waters of the Harbour

All 6 persons on board were able to walk ashore and were released by emergency services from the scene - none required hospital treatment

 Ultralight Prang Injuries Pilot at Vic's Latrobe Valley Airport 


An unidentified ultralight has pranged at Latrobe Valley Airport in eastern Victoria which is the home for Gippsland Aeronautics OZ's only volume OEM aircraft manufacturer

The lightweight flying machine was apparently caught in crosswind during takeoff ...the pilot "has been taken to Traralgon Hospital but had not suffered any obvious injuries"
