'GREY NOMAD' DISRUPTS C337 TWIN IN EMERGENCY LANDING IN NSW

The pilot of a 40 year-old twin-engine Cessna C337A 'push-pull' aircraft was forced to land on the side of the road in western New South Wales yesterday after both engines apparently failed on a trip from Lilydale in Victoria to QLD

A car towing a caravan was on the Kidman Way highway about 10km north of Hillston at the time - the pilot's wife and one other passenger escaped without injury

INSTRUCTOR & STUDENT SURVIVE PA-30 TWIN PRANG IN KIWI-LAND

A flying instructor and student survived a spectacular crash whilst twin-training at the North Shore Aero Club in Dairy Flat north of Auckland - "The student was fine and the pilot had minor injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance ..his pride was injured the most"

The PA-30 Twin Comanche apparently had an engine fail at a critical time during circuit training and 'cart-wheeled' removing both engines and demolishing the machine
