PILOT ARRESTED IN WEST OZ DRUG BUST AT JANDAKOT AIRPORT

Police have arrested a 48-year-old pilot from Busselton in a major drug bust after chemicals and glass instruments used for making methylamphetaminein were found in a hangar

Along with the pilot a 29 year-old male passenger was also arrested after the as yet unidentified aircraft landed - two firearms and ammunition were also found in the hangar

STUDENT PILOT LOOSES CONTROL IN X-LANDING AT COOLANGATTA

A pilot from the Coolangatta based Air Gold Coast flying school carrying out solo circuit "touch-and-goes" apparently lost control during one of the landings ending up in a ditch at the side of the main runway - the pilot sustained minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment

EMERGENCY LANDING FOR TRAINING SCHOOL LIGHT AIRCRAFT

A media report has a light aircraft declaring a "Mayday" after the unidentified aircraft developed an oil leak near Warragamba Dam in Sydney's far west around 1100hrs yesterday

The male pilot aged in his 50's and his female co-pilot aged in her 20's were able to walk away uninjured after the aircraft they were in landed successfully in a paddock near the dam

ARCHERFIELD'S DC4 PREPARING TO DEPART THE AIRFIELD

Archerfield's DC4 has been acquired by the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society based in NSW who are now in the process of bringing the machine up to flying standard so that it can be flown to its new home at Illawarra Regional Airport in Albion Park
