AUTHENTIC WW11 HAWKER HURRICANE MK-11A WARBIRD AUCTION

1940 manufactured Hawker Hurricane Mk IIA - veteran of the Battle of France - the Battle of Britain - the Russian Convoys and the Russo-German Great Patriotic War is to be auctioned on Sunday 27 September 2009 in Melbourne at 1800hrs level 1/540 Malvern Road Prahran

It's an 'almost new' V12 merlin-engined fighter with 179.25 hours of documented Total Time in service and only 52.95 hours used since the restoration was completed in Kiwi Land in 2000

NEW ZEALAND AVIATION INDUSTRY CELEBRATE 1000TH AIRCRAFT

The event was marked by a gathering of dignitaries to celebrate the milestone and to highlight the Kiwi aviation industry's contribution of about $800 million annually in exports - the official aircraft was a Pacific Aerospace P-750XTOL

Alongside the main light aircraft manufacturer Pacific Aerospace - the other contributors to the record setting agenda were Alpha Aviation Micro Aviation and Autoflight
