FIRST SOLO ENDS IN DISASTER FOR PILOT AT BANKSTOWN

A trainee pilot on his first solo flight at Bankstown west of Sydney carried out a heavy landing damaging the single-engine 2-place Cessna

The supervising instructor ran over to the aircraft leading media to incorrectly report that there were two people on board - the pilot was uninjured

PILOT KILLED IN CROP-DUSTER ACCIDENT NEAR AYR IN FNQ

A crop-dusting pilot in his 60's has died when his machine crashed into a sugar cane field on Clare Dalbeg Road at Ayr in FNQ

The aircraft apparently collided with power-lines then impacted the ground and burst into flames - the pilot died at the scene

ROTARY-WING LANDING ACCIDENT AT ARCHERFIELD INJURES 3

A 4-seat Robinson helicopter has crashed at Archerfield airport around 1200hrs to-day with the pilot and two passengers on board taken to hospital with minor injuries - 6 QFRS crews attended the scene and extinguished a small fire
