A 71-year-old pilot and his male passenger escaped virtually uninjured after the 4-seat Robinson R44 helicopter they were in collided with a hangar at Perth's Jandakot Airport


The helicopter's main rotor struck the hangar door shortly after becoming airborne pitching the machine on to its side

The Royal QLD Aero Club is back where it was previously located at Archerfield around 45-years ago


The Air Academy flying school and charter company operated out of this Hangar 1 up to the early '60's and was eventually bought out by the RQAC who then transferred their main operational location from the ground floor of Archerfield's main terminal into this hangar in the mid-to-late 1960's

A team of space enthusiasts in Copenhagen are building and testing a rocket designed to carry one of their members into suborbital space with the first test launch expected next Monday local time
