DERANGED PILOT SUICIDES INTO TAXATION BUILDING IN TEXAS USA

In Austin Texas the pilot of a single-engine Piper PA-28 Cherokee with a grudge against the Tax Office deliberately crashed his machine into a Government Building that burst into flames on impact

Officials indicate that before taking-off the pilot apparently set fire to his house and posted his anti-government criticisms on the internet - only two persons lost their lives in the ensuring building fire

PRANG AT GEELONG AIRPORT INJURIES TWO AND WRECKS C-152

A 70-year-old pilot with more than 40 years flying experience along with his 80-year-old passenger were able to walk away with minor injuries after the 2-seat Cessna 152 they were in crashed into a paddock south-west of the Grovedale airport

During landing the wing of the Cessna 152 clipped the ground on the east-west runway - "He's decided not to land got a gust of wind and tried the go-around and he's stalled and his wing's hit the ground" - the aircraft was damaged "beyond repair"

2009 - TOUGHEST YEAR EVER FOR LIGHT AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURES

The general aviation aircraft manufacturing segment worldwide dropped a whopping 43 percent overall in 2009 with piston-engine powered aircraft showing the greatest decline at 55 percent

The four-place Cirrus was recorded as the largest manufacturer of single-engine piston-powered aircraft just surpassing Cessna’s 2009 shipments of 259 Skyhawk and Skylanes by a mere 9 units
