BANKSTOWN'S AEROSPACE AVIATION LIQUIDATION AUCTION

Husband and wife team - Sue and Zane Davis's company - Aerospace Aviation at Bankstown - is to go under the hammer after the State Government of NSW deregistered the 25-year-old business following an audit that was launched after complaints were recieved from more than 20 foreign students over the cost of tuition fees


There are 15 aircraft up for auction including 2 twin-engine machines plus the company's administration Building of 6 offices and a reception counter - various PC’s including Flight Simulators complete with housing hardware and software along with hangar workshop equipment with parts, stock, shelving and storage facilities

FORMATION OF 40 DC-3/C-47'S TO CLEBRATE 75TH ANNIVERSITY

At the EAA's Oshkosh AirVenture 2010 in Wisconsin USA 40 historic aircraft will recreate an image of a time gone by when these venerable machines will fly in formation to the airshow renewing memories of the sight and sounds of a bygone era perhaps for the last time

TRAINING CESSNA DAMAGED ON LANDING AT WARRNAMBOOL

A 21-year-old Melbourne trainee pilot landing at the western end of the Mailors Flat airport at Warrnambool in Victoria was apparently caught by crosswinds during the flare and ran off the runway into a ditch damaging the propeller - the mishap triggered full-scale emergency response teams to respond

SWEDISH AIRLINE PILOT FLIES 13 YEARS WITH FAKE LICENCE

A Swede with a forged pilot's licence was arrested in the cockpit of a passenger aircraft in Amsterdam 2 days ago - the 41-year-old pilot had flown for 13 years with a forged licence for companies in the UK, Belgium and Italy spending a total of 10,000 unlicensed flying hours piloting passenger aircraft around the world

The Swede originally held a legitimate Commercial Pilot's Licence (CPL) previously but this had long since expired Dutch police said - the pilot subsequently forged an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) - the highest level of aircraft pilot licence and one which enabled him to fly large passenger aircraft
