TWO INJURED IN WEST OZ TRAINING FLIGHT ACCIDENT

A female flying instructor and her male student from New Zealand sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries after the Eagle 150 trainer they were in impacted the ground at Perth's Jandakot Airport - the OZ designed 2-seater failed to climb during an "aborted stall manoeuvre practice session" - the instructor and student were flown to hospital with limb and facial injuries

STRUCTURAL FAILURE IN DRIFTER ULTRALIGHT CLAIMS TWO

A Casino based ultralight with 2 persons on board crashed near Coraki Road Tatham after one of the wings apparently failed causing the 2-seat open-cockpit machine to spiral into the ground

The pilot and passenger were returning from a 'luncheon' flight to Lismore - the pilot may have overstressed the structure during what appears to be 'aerobatic manoeuvres' as reported by area locals
