 BRISBANE RADAR LOCATES ARCHERFIELD STUDENT PILOT "IN DIFFICULTY" 


A student pilot on a solo navigation exercise from Archerfield to Wondai and return realised the weather was not acceptable for visual flying and called Brisbane Radar for help when he was about 105km north-west of Archerfield




Radar located the aircraft over Moore to the west of Kilcoy and a rescue helicopter was dispatched to locate the aircraft and shepherd the pilot until he was able to land safely at the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield

 CASA'S FINAL FEDERAL COURT HEARING ON TIGER AIRWAYS GROUNDING 


A month after CASA grounded the OZ section of Tiger Airways it is expected that the air safety regulator will lift the suspension as all the paperwork associated with the grounding appears to be completed and in the hands of CASA




The deferred court appearance has been rescheduled for to-day Friday 5th August
