A mature-age father and his teenage son have teamed up to fly around Australia in their home-built Supermarine Spitfire in an attempt to raise funds for Leukaemia Research



Brian Scoffell along with his son's help built the OZ designed and kit-manufactured Spitfire copy over the past 3-years and are now test flying the aircraft out of the Scoffell's airstrip near the Willobank Raceway south-west of Ipswich - Brian has been mentioned in these pages before ..the link is below

Emergency services personnel assisted local police in the retrieval of two bodies from an ultralight seaplane that crashed and sank at Lake Jindabyne in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains



The Snowy Hydro South Care Rescue Helicopter was sent to Lake Jindabyne to assist police with the recovery of bodies and wreckage of the homebuilt Super Petrel amphibian from the water near Waste Point

A 22-year-old helicopter pilot was lucky to survive without injury after the rotary-wing flying machine he was operating struck power-lines during low-level agricultural operations in the Nerada area 25kms west of Innisfail in Far North QLD
