 RAAF INSTRUCTOR AND STUDENT SAFE AFTER PC-9A EMERGENCY EJECT 


An RAAF flying instructor and his trainee instructor on a routine flight had to eject from their Pilatus PC-9A aircraft after an apparent engine failure occurred shortly after take-off at the East Sale military airbase in Victoria



The aircraft crashed just short of the runway - all PC-9A flying operations have been suspended temporarily while the cause is investigated

 BANKSTOWN SQUIRREL HELICOPTER CRASH INJURES PILOT 


A helicopter pilot escaped serious injury after the rotary-wing flying machine he was operating near the ground crashed and then burst into flames at Sydney's Bankstown Airport late Friday



The 64-year-old pilot was able to walk away from the fire and was treated at the scene for shoulder and head injuries

The Maryborough Aero Club is hosting a "Wings Warbirds and Wheels" event to be held over the weekend of the 14-15th of May 2011 and have invited all aircraft enthusiasts to attend and take advantage of the accommodation and sights of the region



Watts Bridge:      "Free Entry No Landing Fees"     

The 'Home Base Groups' of the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield situated 75km north-west of Archerfield are having an "All-In Fly-In" on the 21st May 2011 and invite pilots and aviation enthusiasts to view the range of aircraft that are expected to attend including Vintage, Aerobatic and Recreational Aircraft as well as Gyrocopters various Warbirds and a large variety of Homebuilts



Raglan:      "Creed's 'Old Station' Wings & Wheels"     

The Creed family are continuing to run their unique and very popular "Wings & Wheels" Old Station Fly-In and Air Show over the 28-29th of May to be held on the "Old Station" property at Raglan around 45km north-west of Gladstone after the recent passing of patriarch George that occurred in late November 2010
