 GA-8 AIRVAN IN FORCED LANDING NEAR MARREE IN SOUTH OZ 


A Kenny owned Slingair operated OZ designed and built Gippsland Aeronautics GA-8 Airvan on a scenic charter flight in the Lake Eyre area had the engine fail around 135kms north-north-east of Marree forcing the pilot of the 8-seater high-wing to carry out an emergency landing




The landing was successful - there were no reports of injuries from those on board - the cause of the engine failure is under investigation by the ATSB

 NT MUSTERING ROBBO R22 IMPACTS GROUND DURING CATTLE MUSTER 


A Robinson R22 helicopter has impacted the ground around 62kms from Maningrida airport in the Northern Territory during aerial mustering


The tail rotor apparently collided with a tree - the helicopter sustained serious airframe damage from the heavy landing

 CESSNA 152 TRAINER IN FORCED LANDING DEPARTING BANKSTOWN 


"Australia's Largest Flying School" has had one of their Cessna 152 pilot trainers damaged when the nose-wheel collapsed during a forced landing that inverted the 2-seat machine




News reports have the Cessna departing Bankstown airport around 0900hrs on a training flight when the engine failed forcing the pilot to carry out an emergency landing off the end of the runway - the instructor and student escaped uninjured - the cause of the engine failure is under investigation by the ATSB
