QANTAS PILOT RELINQUISHES COMMAND OVER ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

A Qantas pilot was forced to relinquish control of her Boeing 767-300 aircraft when taxiing for take-off at Sydney airport bound for Brisbane last week

Flight attendants apparently informed flight operations that they suspected the captain may have been drinking

"The 767 returned to the domestic terminal where the captain was taken off the plane and a replacement pilot was found to fly to Brisbane"

Qantas has since launched an investigation into the incident after the senior pilot recorded a positive reading for alcohol
