 SEAREY AMPHIBIAN CRASH LANDS AT PORT MACQUARIE IN NSW 


NSW Police have advised the media about an amateur built Searey amphibian that has crashed on the outskirts of Port Macquarie this morning


The 2-persons on board the 2-seat seaplane escaped with only minor injuries


The VH registered home-built apparently had an engine problem with the 'pusher' configured Rotax 912

 AIR AUSTRALIA GOES BUST - STRANDS 4000 PASSENGERS OVERSEAS 


The QLD based Air Australia has been placed in the hands of an administrator after only four months operation as an RPT operator


Previously it was Strategic Aviation who operated under the air charter banner and it appears that the change to Regular Public Transport regulations in a declining overseas tourist market was unsuccessful


"The Brisbane-based airline employed 300 staff and flies to Hawaii, Bali and Thailand"

 EMERGENCY LANDING AT BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL CLOSES MAIN RUNWAY 


A twin-engine Toll Aviation Metroliner turboprop freighter was forced to made a wheels-up landing at Brisbane's International Airport around 0230hrs to-day after the landing gear failed to extend


The incident closed the airport's only main runway for more than three hours forcing cancellations and diversions of some passenger flights - the pilot and student co-pilot on board were uninjured
