 BAD WEATHER CLAIMS PILOT AND CESSNA 182 IN WARRUMBUNGLE NP 


NSW Police were informed of a light aircraft with a 39-year-old pilot on board that was overdue on a flight from Walgett to Mudgee and after a search was initiated by AuSaR the wreckage of a Cessna 182 was found at Mt Exmouth near Coonabarabran in the Warrumbungle National Park


"Due to the rugged terrain failing light and wet weather a recovery team was unable to reach the wreckage - salvage operation will get underway this morning"


"...there appeared to be no survivors"
