 MILLION $$$ HELICOPTER GOES UP IN SMOKE AFTER EMERGENCY LANDING 

A 52-year-old pilot along with his 23-year-old son escaped uninjured after the helicopter they were in caught fire after making an emergency landing in a paddock at Charra in South OZ



The rotary-wing appeared to be on a ferry flight from Ceduna to Kalgoorlie in West OZ when the pilot noticed smoke and decided to land - the on-board fire extinguisher was used but failed to extinguish the flames



"The six-seat Eurocopter had been valued at more than $1 million"

 PILOT INJURED IN CESSNA 182 TAKE-OFF CRASH AT LINDEN IN QLD 

Media reports have the pilot of a Cessna 182 injured after the aircraft he was flying crashed during take-off at the Mayvale property at Linden around 50kms east of Cunnamulla in western QLD



"The 49-year-old pilot - the only person on board - sustained a laceration to his head and was complaining of pain to his ribs and back and was taken to the Cunnamulla Hospital"

 PILOT TRAINING HELICOPTER DAMAGED IN HEAVY LANDING AT REDCLIFFE 

A Redcliffe based helicopter flying school had one of their rotary-wing flying machines 'fall over' during a pilot training exercise



"During a simulated forced landing the helicopter landed heavily and rolled onto its side"



The 2-seat Schweizer 269C-1 was substantially damaged - both pilots escaped serious injury
