 MILITARY ROTARY-WING SNARES POWER-LINE NEAR OAKEY IN QLD 


An Australian Army Eurocopter EC 665 Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter was forced to carry out an emergency landing in a field at Quinalow north of Oakey after contacting power lines near the Army base around noon Thursday


"..the power lines broke and were hanging across the road - lucky the powerlines broke because if they hadn't it probably would have crashed"

 PILOT SAFE AFTER POWER-LINE SNARES ROTARY-WING NEAR TAMWORTH 


A 52-year-old helicopter pilot was lucky to escape uninjured after the 2-seat Robbo R22 helicopter he was flying contacted power lines and crashed into a farmers corn sorghum paddock at Nemingha near Tamworth in NSW


The R22 was carrying out "pollination" work when it hit the wire and crashed
