 MICROLIGHT PILOT SERIOUSLY INJURED IN CRASH AT WEST WYALONG 


Two people were injured - one seriously - after the weight-shift controlled microlight trike they were in crashed into a paddock off Wargin Road at West Wyalong in NSW


"The 35-year-old pilot was trapped in the wreckage for half an hour before being freed and transported to West Wyalong Hospital with a fractured pelvis - His 27-year-old passenger was able to leave the wreckage and was also transported to West Wyalong Hospital"

 JABIRU TO BE SUED IN USA AFTER FATAL ACCIDENT IN ARIZONA IN 2008 


The family of deceased USA pilot Gerald Van Heeswyk of Marana Arizona have won a court hearing allowing them to take the QLD based Jabiru aircraft kit manufacturer to court over the accident


"..during a flight on June 1st 2008 the propeller came off the airplane and it went down resulting in the fatal injury"


The kit aircraft - which was sold by Jabiru USA Sport Aircraft in Tennessee in 2007 - was first flown by a a test pilot hired by Van Heeswyk after it had passed various inspections and then for several hours by the owner/builder


"The Arizona court has allowed the lawsuit to proceed"
